Job Description

Job Requirements:

Logs in samples; assigning sample report ID number; creates labels; acquires laboratory forms or requisitions; stores samples for subsequent processing.
 Set-up tests using aseptic technique according to protocols, specifications, and directives.
 Perform laboratory testing in compliance with company procedures.
 Receives standard laboratory materials and initiates the appropriate quality control testing.
 Prepares media and reagents.
 Collaborates with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality systems.
 Conducts onsite testing.
 Collaborates with the schedule and conduct of laboratory tests.
 Collaborates in scheduling and conduct of laboratory cleaning.
 Assists with scheduling and conducts of qualifications, validations, and calibrations.
 Keeps the laboratory clean and maintains equipment
 Assists others when needed
 Follow all safety precautions, use appropriate PPE where required and conduct himself or herself and all testing in a safe, appropriate manner.
 Read and understand methods and protocols on an ongoing basis. Advise of changes, as required, to improve protocols and methods.
 Engage in ongoing cGMP, safety and ethics programs.
 Handling multiple responsibilities and job tasks (multi-tasking) as needed.
 Demonstrating attention to detail.
 Flexibility with work requirements, work environment and fast-paced/changing job needs.
 Complete work according to industry and safety protocols
 Ability to proofread documents and reports.
 Maintain confidentiality
 Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
 Ensure training has been received before undertaking specific duties and that all training is documented in training records.
 Understand the company’s Health & Safety Policy and follow all associated procedures. Report all accidents or awareness of any unsafe conditions in the workplace to management.
 Conform to the company’s policies

Required Education:

High school diploma or GED

Required Work Experience:

2-year professional work experience
Skills (incl. Typical Mental Demands):
 Experienced operating GC and HPLC.
 Reasoning Ability/Mathematical Skills/Computer Skills/Language Skills:
 Computer skills
 Mathematical skills
